When I first set out on the Berry View Hotel project three years ago, I had a clear vision: to create a luxurious retreat that blended the playful glamour of Palm Springs with the vinrant colours of the Amalfi Coast. This ambitious endeavour not only challenged my design skills but also provided me with a rewarding experience in the world of hospitality design.

The Conceptualisation
The journey began with brainstorming sessions and sketching ideas. The focus was to capture the spirit of leisurely elegance while honoring the original architecture of the property. I aimed to design a space that felt modern yet timeless, combining contemporary architecture with vibrant colours and natural materials.
Channeling the sunny vibes of Palm Springs, I imagined a central infinity pool surrounded by palm trees and our iconic orange umbrellas. The backdrop of lush farmland, was perfect for this concept. Future guests would be able to unwind and bask in serene, sun-soaked moments, enjoying the tranquility of their surroundings.
Designing Interior Spaces
As I moved into the realm of interior design, I drew heavy inspiration from mid-century modern styles and the relaxed elegance of Palm Springs, the design reflects a seamless fusion of contemporary comfort and timeless sophistication with a bit of fun thrown in.
Highlighting the Stage Two development is the spectacular infinity pool, a centrepiece that
embodies the essence of leisure and luxury. The pool deck, reminiscent of the iconic umbrella-lined beaches of the Amalfi Coast, offers guests a tranquil oasis to unwind and indulge in the beauty of their surroundings. Whether enjoying a refreshing swim or lounging poolside with a cocktail, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a world of unparalleled relaxation and serenity.
Selecting plush furnishings was essential, as was curating a colour palette based on the bold Mid Century Exteriors. Soft earth tones, airy whites, and splashes of our signature vibrant Orange sets The Berry View apart from other local accommodation options.

Selection of Finishes
Choosing finishes for the hotel was one of the most satisfying aspects of the project. My goal was to find high-quality materials that provided durability while enhancing aesthetics. For the exterior, we opted for sleek render combined with natural stone. This choice offers an organic feel that seamlessly integrates with the agrarian landscape.
On the inside, elegant tiles and earthy toned materials were selected. Accented by bold pops of colour and curated art and homewares.
Styling the Space
As the project neared completion, the final touches became crucial in establishing the hotel's identity. I focused deeply on styling, selecting art, decor, and furniture that resonated with the hotel’s vision. Each piece was intentionally picked, including artworks and sculptural accents.
Every detail was crafted to tell a story, making the Berry View Hotel not just a place to stay, but an unforgettable experience.

Reflecting on the Journey
With the Berry View Hotel project now completed, I feel a deep sense of pride and accomplishment. This three-year journey has not only tested my creativity but also strengthened my passion for hospitality design. The unique combination of Palm Springs charm and Amalfi Coast beauty offers guests an unforgettable retreat, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and carefully curated interiors.
